Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have paid tribute to the first responders who lost their lives or were forever affected by the September 11 attacks, as their Archewell Philanthropies remembered the courage shown 25 years ago.
The couple’s organisation shared a message of remembrance in September 2026.
“Today, we remember. And we honour everyone who serves, protects, and cares for others when it matters most,” Archewell Philanthropies said.
The tribute also acknowledged the lasting impact carried by first responders and their families in the quarter-century since the attacks.
Many have continued to deal with physical and emotional consequences while remaining committed to serving their communities.

Archewell praised their “sacrifice” and “resilience”, while recognising the example they continue to set for others.
The September 11 attacks claimed thousands of lives and left a lasting mark on families and communities across the United States and beyond.
