Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had reportedly been planning their return to Britain for around “six months” and it was not cheap.
The couple are not only keeping their multimillion-dollar Montecito mansion and their Portugal vacation home, but they have not shied away from splurging on their new Cotswold residence.
The exact location has not been revealed by the press following strict instructions from the Sussexes but it is claimed to be “extremely expensive” home.
Hence, there has been plenty of curiosity around how can Harry and Meghan afford all the lavish choices while “not taking a single penny” from King Charles.
It appears that a certain billionaire had been instrumental in all of the major decisions that Sussexes have taken recently, according to Page Six.
The founding partner, chief executive officer and chief risk officer of Marshall Wace LLP — one of the largest hedge fund firms in the world, established in 1997 – Ian Wace has been helping finance the move back to Britain, two sources confirmed to the outlet.
Harry and Ian have a very close friendship for years. The couple also took their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on the 63-year-old financier’s private property.
Although, when the outlet reached out to corroborate the claims, Ian’s rep declined to comment while the Sussexes’ rep has not yet responded.
