Prince Harry, Meghan Markle may not be receiving a warm response from their famous neighbours as the scars from the past hurt remain fresh in their minds.
It was believed that the Duchess of Sussex was setting the groundwork for making alliances and healing rifts with important people following her return to Britain. And those influential people included the Beckhams.
Harry and Meghan are understood to be living in Cotswold, very close to the Beckham household it’s “only a matter of time before this becomes a real problem”, sources have told New Idea.
“The Beckhams are not happy that Harry and Meghan are becoming regulars at one of the few places they can go and not be hassled,” the insider said about the Sussex joining the elite Soho farmhouse.
“Harry and Meghan don’t think of this as gatecrashing at all. This is their old network – first dates at Dean Street, Markus facilitating; she even threw her UK hen party at Soho House.”
The Sussexes and the Beckhams had a falling out over allegations Meghan and Harry had made. They reportedly blamed David and Victoria for leaking stories about them. The assumption infuriated the Beckhams and it immediately tarnished their relationship. The Beckhams, instead, appeared more supportive of the Prince and Princess of Wales and the monarch.
“Even though David and Victoria went to their wedding, Harry blew it by accusing them of leaks and there was no going back when Harry and Meghan invited Brooklyn and Nicola to lunch right when the family fallout was dominating the headlines,” they continued.
“They’re not giving up any turf to Harry and Meghan, despite rumours that ‘Soho is Team Meghan’ because of Markus. The Beckhams have much more sway and influence in that postcode than anyone and Markus knows that.”
However, David and Victoria are prepared for any encounters that they might face. They will try to avoid any but even if they do run-in, they will be “a nod-and-move-on”.
