Prince Harry seemed to have passed the test King Charles had put him through following the family meeting at Highgrove House.
The monarch finally met his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet as Harry and Meghan brought them over across the pond for a reunion two weeks ago. However, it did not come without hiccups.
After the messy back-and-forth between the Sussex office and the Palace over royal accommodation, it seemed unlikely that the King would make an offer to his younger son again. However, that is not the case as a new report by The Sun revealed a surprising olive branch Harry.
The Duke of Sussex will be returning to his home country again in September to attend the Well-Child Awards and there would be other engagements scheduled for the charities he continues to support.
According to royal editor Matt Wilkinson, while Harry couldn’t stay at Buckingham Palace earlier this month with his family, he would receive the offer once again in a matter of weeks.
Although, this time around, sources confirmed that Harry would be prudent and accept the offer well in advance.
Before the reunion took place, the Sussex camp had revealed that Harry would be bringing his family to UK for the first time in four years and Meghan would be taking on joint engagements with Harry.
The King had offered a room at the Palace to stay but Harry wanted police protection for his family at all times and not just the royal accomodation. When the demand was not met, Harry changed his plans and decided to come to UK solo.
He had accepted the King’s offer to stay at the Palace, but royal aides said that Harry had accepted the offer too late, causing an embarrassing drama to unfold in the public eye.
