A royal expert has claimed that Prince Harry, who wants to settle back into life in the UK in close proximity to the royal family, owes his stepmother Queen Camilla an “outstanding debt.”
Harry has spoken publicly about senior members of the royal family, including unfavourably of Camilla, 79.
Amid speculation about spending Christmas with the royal family in Sandringham this December, Robert Jobson claimed “there is a debt outstanding first” after Harry “slammed” teh Queen in his 2023 memoir Spare.
It emerges amid reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are all set to return to the UK by the end of the month.
Harry penned in his book, “She had ‘sacrificed’ him ‘on her personal PR altar.’ Camilla kept quiet. The debt to his brother has not been paid either,” the author wrote for the Daily Mail.
However, Robert claimed the chances of Harry standing up and apologising “are slim”.
“But if the monarchy is going to unite, it is essential,” he added.
The Duke also claimed that he and Prince William had pleaded with their father, King Charles, not to marry Camilla. “We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings.”
In another interview in 2023, Harry told 60 Minutes‘ Anderson Cooper about his stepmother: “She was a third person in the marriage, she needed to rehabilitate her image.”
