Prince Harry’s return to his home country is understood to be an emotional journey that the Duke of Sussex had to take, with hopes of reconciling with his family and his children learning of their British roots.
It was believed that Harry had soften over time given the distance and how much he missed his family. However, his friends were shocked to learn about how Harry is still holding on to a grudge with the royals.
King Charles’s younger son had arrived in Birmingham on Wednesday afternoon and will be settling in his home in Cotswold. Friends had caught up with him after the move and they reported some surprising revelations to Daily Mail’s Charlotte Griffiths.
Sources told Mail on Sunday that they expected “noises of contrition and humility” but they instead they found there will be “no imminent mea culpa” from Harry
“He is still in that Oprah mindset,” they explained. “They were agog to hear he still feels angry with members of the Royal Family, is still frustrated by the ‘men in grey suits’ who surround his father, and still expects an apology.”
The friends are “surprised” and it is “shocking and quite sad” that Harry has not changed since 2020.
Harry had said in Oprah that he is expecting a public apology to his wife Meghan and some accountability from the royals.
Meanwhile, he “certainly won’t be issuing a public apology for his actions and he’s whipped himself up all over again and Diana’s legacy is a factor in this”.
