Prince Harry, who is understood to make the upcoming iteration of the Invictus Games “the best on yet”, received some good news about his passion project, especially after his return to the UK.
The Duke of Sussex is slated to make a slew of engagements in September, including the WellChild Awards and a skydiving event for raising funds for military charities. He is likely to do more promotional events for the Invictus Games in Birmingham in the coming weeks.
Although, it seems that Harry’s return proved to be beneficial for the foundation as the team shared some delightful update.
The event earned its new partnership with charity Team Forces to secure funding through fundraising initiatives and corporate partnerships. This funding will then support the games and the competitors, who are ex-servicemen and women.
“We’re delighted to welcome Team Forces as our Official Fundraising Partnerl,” Helen Helliwell, Chief Executive Officer of the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, said.
Meanwhile, Lamont Kirkland, CEO of Team Forces, said, “We are incredibly proud to become the Official Fundraising Partner for Invictus Games Birmingham 2027. The Invictus Games represent everything that Team Forces believes in – courage, resilience, recovery and the transformational power of sport.”
The event also earned new followers, which appears to be a good sign for the event overall.
“We have quite a few new followers here, so it feels like the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves!” the official page for the event read. “We are Invictus Games Birmingham 2027!”
It detailed the beginnings and the details of the global event. The Games were founded by Harry in 2014 to “support the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans”.
The tickets are available for purchase. Meanwhile, it was reported that there are some invitations kept for the Royal Family members including King Charles.
