Meghan Markle made a big appearance on the latest episode of MasterChef Australia, which had been filmed weeks ago during the Sussexes’ visit to Down Under.
The As Ever founder judges four dishes “fit for a duchess” made by the contestants to secure them for the next round. The cooking show is a beloved one but this particular episode seemed to have caused quite the ripple effect as it reached the royal palaces as well.
There have been mixed reviews for the episode, but sources revealed that some did not even bother to turn on the TV for it. The future king, in particular, thought that it was one of their desperate moves.
According to sources cited by Woman’s Day, Prince William was told about Meghan’s latest appearance and offered to be shown a clip of it..
In response, William laughed it off and simply said, “I’ll pass.”
“William was told about it and wasn’t surprised,” the source claimed. “He thought it was a bit of a desperate move and refused to watch even the smallest snippet.”
Another insider told he outlet, “It seems William has no interest in keeping up with Meghan’s latest TV appearances. For him, it’s a case of ‘out of sight, out of mind’.”
Prince Harry had also made a suprise appearance via a video call during the show, which is understood to be scripted.
Prince William remains estranged from his brother and sister-law and there are no signs of a reconciliation happening any time soon.
