Prince Harry’s return to his home country has sparked optimism about a possible redemption for him and repairing his ties with the royal family.
When the Duke of Sussex left the UK in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle, he is considerably upset as he believed he was forced into taking this action. Over the years, Harry has maintained that his home country is Britain.
In some of his statements, he had indicated that US was his temporary home especially during the time when Harry was slated to meet his father, King Charles.
Now, friends close to Harry have suggested that as the monarch has softened towards his son, there is a chance that William will be coming around as well. In a Daily Mail report by Alison Boshoff, a friend of Harry said that “there is communication between [the brothers]” despite the estrangement narrative.
“It’s too soon now but there is a hope and a belief that one day they will appear in public together and that will completely change the narrative,” the friend said.
However, sources close to William have continued to refute any chances of a reconciliation, noting that the future king is “furious” with his brother. Although, the source said that “there is a bit of optimism that we might be starting to see a change in sentiment about Harry”.
They added that it’s “one step at a time”.
