Princess Anne, who is known to keep up with royal tradition, dusted off a special piece from the archive for a London event.
The Princess Royal attended the Centenary Banquet last week and royal fans were quick to note the 42-year-old pale yellow gown to perform her royal duty.
The King’s sister is the Honourable Company of Master Mariners for which she appeared at the Guildhall alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and her brother, The Duke of Edinburgh.
She looked radiant in her attire which she had first worn during a trip to Gambia in 1984 for her role as patron with Save the Children UK.
She was attending the State House in Banjul, where she wore the dress with a gold necklace and matching earrings.
Anne was 34 at the time and she still seemed to pull off the look years later at 75.
She paired the look with white gloved and matching heels.
One royal fan gushed over the royal’s sartorial choice.
“Still fits it like a glove, such beauty and elegance,” one wrote on X.
“That dress is just beautiful”, white another said, “ love her even more for this. She looks terrific in her truly retro wardrobe.”
The look is in line with King Charles’s advocacy to protect the environment and how recycling her dress – sustainable fashion – falls in line with that philosophy.
