Princess Anne has made her feelings about running perfectly clear after being invited to join Sir Kevin Sinfield for part of his gruelling seven-day challenge.
Sir Kevin in York tackled the second day of his 7 in 7: The Grand Finale challenge, completing seven ultra-marathons in seven days to raise funds for MND charities in memory of his late friend and former Leeds Rhinos teammate, Rob Burrow.
Anne watched the former rugby league star complete his final laps of the morning at the University of York Athletics Track before joining him for a chat in the pavilion.

With the pair discussing the challenge in the sunshine, Sir Kevin joked that he would actually prefer the weather to be miserable.
He explained that seeing him battling through heavy rain might encourage people to donate more, rather than assuming the challenge was simply an enjoyable run.
“People see it on the telly and think it’s a fun run,” he said.
Anne was quick to disagree. “Fun run is a contradiction in terms,” she replied. “I can run, but I don’t do it for fun – no, I’m past that stage.”
When Sir Kevin then invited her to join them, the Princess had another option in mind, telling him she would “stick to horses”.

Anne later helped launch the next leg of the challenge in fitting fashion, banging a drum seven times to signal the start of another gruelling run.
