Meghan Markle received a delightful update that may pave the way for her to regain Britain’s trust and make her place in the royal family again, despite the years of feud.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reunited with King Charles alongside their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after drama surrounding security and accommodation.
A royal commentator shed light on how the Sussexes, especially Meghan, have returned to the good books of the royals and the people of the UK, especially amid talks of their return to ‘royal duties.’
In conversation with GB, Simon Vigar, the author of The Four Wives of Windsor: The Inside Story of the Power Behind the Crown, quoted Camilla’s example on how she won back the public’s trust after her controversial image due to the ‘other woman’ in King Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage.
“Well, never say never. The Camilla transformation is incredible. I remember how hated she and Charles were,” he shared.
Mr Simon explained, “To go from that, even in the space of from 1997 when Diana died, and then to have her first public appearance with Charles happen in 1999, so that’s only two years on, and then five years after that they were married.
“So to go from that in the space of eight years is absolutely incredible; anything is possible.”
Meghan could also take a leaf out of Camilla’s book, but first she has to make peace with the royal family.
However, arranging peace talks with the Prince and Princess of Wales is not on the cards at the moment, but never say never.
