ROLE MODEL brought his latest musical chapter back to where it all began.
Returning to his home state of Maine on Saturday night, August 8, the singer, whose real name is Tucker Harrington Pillsbury, performed at a hometown show celebrating the release of his third studio album, Chuck Timely & The Hourglass.
A Little More Time singer performed at Thompson’s Point in Portland for the sold-out Chuck Comes Home – Album Release Show.
The Maine-born artist has increasingly leaned into a more guitar-driven, emotionally open sound over the course of his career.
His 2022 debut, Rx, was a confessional, genre-blurring pop record, while his 2024 follow-up, Kansas Anymore, moved further toward folk-tinged songwriting and explored homesickness, heartbreak and personal change.
Chuck Timely & The Hourglasscontinues that evolution. The 12-track album includes songs such as High Hopes 3000, Love I You, Chasing Midnight, Joy, Honeydew, Stain, The Wedding and Harmony.
The project also finds ROLE MODEL balancing humor with more vulnerable reflections on love, time and growing older.
The album’s title character, Chuck Timely, has been described as representing a feeling of being emotionally stuck while trying to move forward.
The hometown performance wasn’t simply another stop on an album-release run.
It marked a full-circle moment for an artist who started making music nearly a decade ago and has since moved from the bedroom-pop scene into a much broader pop and folk-influenced sound
