Sarah Ferguson unexpectedly made a return to growing talks about The Gentlemen casting featuring Meghan Markle.
For the past couple of days, it was reported that the Duchess of Sussex might be featured in Guy Ritchie’s show.
However, those were only speculations.
The Gentlemen star Theo James dismissed those rumours with a witty response.
During an interview with Town & Country, the Hollywood actor joked about “a certain ex-royal” becoming a part of the series. And that former royal is none other than Sarah Ferguson.
“Yes, Fergie is joining. She’ll be playing my love interest,” he said.
“No, I think [reports of Markle joining the show] were mainly a lot of hot air. At the moment, we’re just trying to get as many eyes on season two, and then season three will happen soon,” Theo clarified.
In conversation with Extra, the actor also made light-hearted comments and brought Prince Harry into the debate.
“No, Prince Harry is playing one of my love interests. So that’s the Meghan Markle thing…” Theo said.
