Sarah Ferguson has remained firmly out of the public eye, with 118 days now passing since the former Duchess of York was last photographed in public.
Her continued absence comes against the backdrop of major family news. Last week, Sarah’s daughter Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their third child, a baby girl, in Portugal.
The former Duchess has largely withdrawn from the spotlight since late last year, following renewed scrutiny surrounding her past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Her disappearance from public life also followed the upheaval surrounding her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
After Andrew was stripped of his titles in October, the former couple were forced to leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, where they had continued to live despite their divorce.
He moved to the Sandringham estate, while Fergie was reported to have relocated abroad, leaving her exact whereabouts uncertain.
Sarah’s last confirmed public appearance came in Austria earlier this year.
On 16 April, she was photographed at a luxury resort in the Austrian Alps near the Mayrlife Medical Health Resort in Altaussee.
Wearing a blue coat and white baseball cap, the former Duchess appeared keen to keep a low profile during the private getaway.
Since then, however, she has once again disappeared from view.
Before her Austrian appearance, Sarah had not been photographed for several months.
Her previous confirmed sighting came on 12 December 2025, when she attended the christening of her granddaughter Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Athena, at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.
Despite maintaining her privacy, Sarah is now reported to have travelled quietly to Portugal following the birth of Eugenie’s daughter.
She is said to have made her way to Melides, the peaceful village near Lisbon where Eugenie and Jack have established their family life away from the British royal spotlight.
