Princess Eugenie and Meghan Markle were known to have good relations well before the former Suits actress married Prince Harry.
They had remained close even after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their senior royal positions, and the rift was at peak between the royals and the Sussexes. Moreover, they reportedly met in Portugal as Harry and Meghan were on holiday with their children.
Hence, when a copy Meghan’s children’s book, The Bench, signed to Princess Eugenie, emerged on eBay for £19,999.99 (nearly $26,500), it left many onlookers in shock.

It has the distinct Meghan’s handwriting, with the message addressed to “Eug and Jack”, which is how Harry’s cousin is addressed lovingly.
“Celebrating the special bond between father and son. I wrote this poem at Frogmore — I hope that Eug, you witness the same love there with your guys,” the inscription read. “All love, Meghan.
However, one royal expert believes that this may have something to do with Sarah Ferguson. Meredith Constant, a known royal commentator and reporter, often gives nuanced insights on the royal news and updates.
She suggested, “I’m not convinced that it’s not Fergie who swiped that book to make some extra cash.”
The post seems sum up the ongoing financial struggles and the track record of Andrew’s ex-wife in light of the recent updates. It was reported that Fergie was close to signing a deal to make a documentary or to write a memoir, however, that claim was firmly shut down by her spokesperson.

There is no official confirmation from sources that could determine a connection Fergie would have creating a rift between Eugenie and Meghan.
However, it is odd to have a heartfelt gift put up on sale, knowing full-well this information would spread eventually. It was either a signal that the two pals are not on good terms anymore or if a rift is being created.
