Shailene Woodley had a simple yet telling reaction to Aaron Rodgers’ shocking recent claims about their contentious breakup.
The Divergentstar was heading into a pre-Emmys fundraiser on Sunday, September 13, when a reporter asked, “Any comment about Aaron Rodgers?” according to a video published by TMZ.
Woodley briefly stopped, turned toward the reporter, and laughed before continuing into the event.
Her brief response came days after Rodgers detailed his version of their failed engagement on the Not Just Football With Cam Heywardpodcast.
“I propose, and she says yes,” the NFL star recalled of their December 2021 engagement. “She maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no.”
Rodgers, 42, then claimed Woodley, 34, told him, “Before we get married I got to go f*** this guy.” He further claimed she stopped wearing her engagement ring within three months.
The Fault in Our Stars alum previously described the split as “traumatic” in a 2024 interview with Outside. “I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy,” Woodley said. “I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.”
The Paradisealum said the breakup happened in 2022, while Rodgers disputed that timeline.
“There wasn’t even a relationship in ’22 to break off,” he claimed. “She literally told me, ‘I don’t want to be with you,’ after we tried to have some sort of reconciliation in 2021.”
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is now married to Brittani Rodgers, with whom he tied the knot in 2025.
