Legendary actor Nauman Ijaz has opened up about his harrowing yet miraculous journey of recovery from cancer, revealing that unwavering faith and recitation of Surah Rahman saved him from chemotherapy.
During a recent podcast appearance, Ijaz revealed that he was diagnosed with lymphoma and a tumour in June 2024. He did undergo surgical removal of one of his tumours, but his reliance on faith, along with the daily recitation of Surah Rahman, became his emotional and spiritual anchor.
“The day when I was diagnosed, one of my friends, Gohar Butt, advised me to recite Surah Rahman,” said Ijaz while recounting the moments.
“Alhamdulillah! When I started reciting Surah Rahman, they could not find it”.
The actor believed that Surah Rahman played a great and effective role in his rehabilitation, and after a minor surgical treatment, the doctor discovered, right before his scheduled chemotherapy, that the remaining tumour had vanished.
The actor credits divine intervention and prayer for his faster recovery without undergoing painful procedures.
Ijaz described the development as nothing short of a miracle.
Since then, Ijaz said he has continued to recite the Surah daily, describing his experience as one of the most profound and life-changing chapters.
