Taylor Swift may have tried to leave the Blake Lively drama behind, but Hollywood apparently hasn’t received the memo.
The pop superstar has kept her distance from her former best friend since Lively became embroiled in a legal battle with Justin Baldoni over It Ends With Us.
But now that Baldoni has broken his long public silence, sources claim Swift is worried her name could once again be pulled into the mess.
Baldoni and his wife, Emily, recently addressed the dispute in an Instagram video, hinting that they have plenty more to say.
“We have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years, and it’s not because we haven’t had anything to say, because lord knows we have.”
Emily added, “There is so much more to say. That time will come”.
That prospect reportedly has Swift less than thrilled.
The singer was once extremely close to Lively, even becoming godmother to her children, but their friendship appeared to collapse after private messages connected to the Baldoni dispute became public.
Swift was notably absent from Swift’s and Travis Kelce’s July wedding, adding fuel to reports that the friendship is firmly over.
Now, insiders claim Lively could eventually speak publicly about her side of the story.
“The longer that Blake is vilified, the more likely it is that she’ll decide to have her say and explain everything she’s been through,” said an insider close to the former friends.
“It wouldn’t be about making money – it would simply be about clearing her name and telling her side of the nightmare.”
For Swift, that could mean another unwanted round in a story she clearly wants no part of.
“The reality is that she’s always going to be tied to this drama – there’s no escaping that,” the source says.
In other words: Taylor may want out, but this Hollywood group chat isn’t exactly muting her.
