Taylor Swift has fans excited for the weekend because of her three interviews lined up on different country radio stations, and some clips have already started going viral.
The 36-year-old pop superstar appeared on Ryan Fox’s American Country Countdown Radio show and talked about her creative process.
When Fox asked if the Grammy winner has noticed if she has a particular tendency while working on new music, she did not have to think long for an answer.
Swift began, “I love to use detail in my lyricism, that’s true and I love that, but one thing is that I check myself if those details signify something that informs the story.”
However, not any detail stands out to the Eras Tour performer. Instead, she asks herself, “Does it tell the listener the mindset that the narrator is in their lives. Does it describe the person that is influencing and inspiring the song, does it help further the story? Does it tell you more about what’s important which is the human emotion behind it? I love details that informs you about the human emotion that we’re singing about. So I think that’s a lesson if somebody cares about taking a lesson from what I’m doing.”
The method clearly seems to be working for the Opalite hitmaker, who has become a living legend in songwriting, and earned two major milestones this year.
Swift became the youngest inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, soon followed by an induction at Nashville’s Songwriters Hall of Fame, both in 2026.
