Travis Kelce, after two months into marriage with Taylor Swift, is finally spilling the details.
The NFL athlete and the singer-songwriter said “I do” on July 03 in NYC’s Madison Square Garden.
Kelce broke down on New Heightswhy they picked the NYC arena over a traditional rose garden wedding.
“We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions,” Kelce explained during the September 2 episode of the podcast.
“We needed it to be a private feel. MSG went above and beyond to give us that. I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up but also that helped put the show on. It was a very magical, magical night.”
Why MSG worked for them
For Kelce, the venue was not just about privacy. It was about the people. “It was so cool to see everyone from my childhood not only mesh with Taylor, but [the people] from her childhood and her family and friends,” Kelce continued, adding, “and people that she works with to people that we’ve encountered over the course of our career and who we just admire as people and have become good friends with now.”
With a 1,000-person guest list, the night turned into one big crossover.
“It’s been so cool to see that world come together and hear person by person after the wedding just how awesome of a time there.”
