Prince Harry’s strategy to win over Britons appears to have worked, with the Duke of Sussex receiving a nod from the UK public after his visit to Britain.
Meanwhile, two princesses take a hit in the rankings as Britons choose Harry over them.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter, have been left humiliated after a new YouGov poll found the two sisters were now less popular than their cousin Prince Harry.
The Princesses of York have kept a low profile this year after scandals surrounding their parents dragged them in the headlines.
Beatrice and Eugenie may be feeling disappointed to see that they are almost at the bottom when it comes to their family’s popularity.
The poll, which took place between July 21 and July 22, revealed Harry had raised his ratings among Britons.
However, they could not gain the same. This is because many of the respondents said they “don’t know” how they feel about the sisters.
While 33% of the 2063 adults surveyed had a positive view of Harry, only 30% had a positive view of Beatrice, and just 29% felt this way about Eugenie.
Meanwhile, 34% of people said they had a negative view of Beatrice, and 34% said they had a negative view of Eugenie.
A large 36% said they don’t know how they feel about Beatrice, with 37% saying this for Eugenie.
On the other hand, 58% had a negative view of Harry, while 9% said they didn’t know.
This was not the case in previous polls. Harry’s recent UK trip saw his popularity soar.
Andrew’s daughters have seen their popularity drop dramatically as a result of their parents’ actions.
While beatrice and Eugenie still remain more popular than his wife Meghan Markle, whom many people in Britain do not seem keen on.
This is because teh poll found that only 22% had a positive view of Meghan. The only royal ranked below her was Beatrice and Eugenie’s father, with just 2% of people having a positive view of him and 92% having a negative opinion.
