Zendaya has officially entered her 30s — and she celebrated the big milestone with a childhood throwback, a sweet message from her mom and enough upcoming projects to make most people want a nap.
The Challengersstar turned 30 on Tuesday, September 1, sharing a glimpse of her younger self on Instagram while thanking fans for making her final year of her twenties special.
“I can’t thank ya’ll enough for making the last year of my twenties so beautiful, I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to, with love as always….here’s to 30!!!!!” she wrote.
Her mom, Claire Stoermer, 62, also joined the birthday celebrations with an adorable throwback photo of a young Zendaya.
“Happy 30th birthday to the love and light of my life!! Even tho you’re not on socials anymore, and you won’t see this!!” Stoermer wrote, before adding the perfect mother-daughter update: “we just got off facetime!!”
Zendaya has often credited her mom, a former Oakland teacher, for shaping her work ethic and outlook on education.
“Growing up, I watched my mom teach in the heart of Oakland, Calif., at inner-city schools that were always underfunded,” Zendaya told Teen Vogue in 2016.
And turning 30 clearly hasn’t slowed her down.
Zendaya has had a packed year, returning for Euphoria Season 3, starring in The Drama, appearing as Athena in Christopher Nolan’s The Odysseyand returning as MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Dayalongside Tom Holland, who also turned 30 this year.
Next up? Dune: Part Three, arriving December 18. Thirty looks busy already.
