Rick Ross has been released after spending time in custody following his arrest in Miami Beach.
The 50 year old rapper turned himself in to police early Thursday over an alleged incident involving domestic violence.
Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, is facing two charges in the case.
The case came from an incident at his Star Island home in August.
A woman accused Ross of hitting and slapping her during an argument. She also said that he stopped her from breathing.
Ross has strongly denied the claims. His lawyers have called the allegations “false” and “wrongful”. The rapper has pleaded not guilty.

During his court hearing, Ross’s lawyer asked for him to be released as soon as possible.
The lawyer mentioned Ross’s fame and concerns about his safety while in custody.
Judge Mindy Glazer then asked, “What does that mean?”
She later told Ross, “Hi, Mr. Roberts. I have no idea who you are, except somebody here in the court who’s going to be treated fairly just like everybody else here.”
The judge set Ross’s bond at $6,000 in total. He paid the amount and was released the same day.
The court also ordered Ross to stay away from the woman involved in the case.
Ross will return to court on October 22.
The case is still going on, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
