King Charles’s long-time ambassador for the King’s Trust (formerly the Prince’s Trust) made an embarrassing blunder in public, which had bee one of the cringe-worthy accidents to occur with royalty.
Anna Williamson, who is an English presenter and a dating agent for Celebs Go Dating, recalled her encounter with the monarch on the latest episode of the podcast Joe Marler Will See You Now.
“One of them that springs to mind involves our monarch, the King,” she began when asked about her most embarrassing moment.
Anna revealed that she was nervous about how to greet royalty when everything went wrong during a reception at Highgrove House.
“You can do a variety of things that are respectful, but I did all of them at one go: a curtsey, a bow, a handshake,” she explained about the encounter.
“I then fell forwards with the risotto, spat risotto in the King’s face, curtseyed but stumbled on the paving slab, fell into him so he had to sort of push me back up again,” she recalled.
She added that she had to be “pulled off him” afterwards.
Jake and Joe collectively cringed over the thought of having to go through that, but Anne shared that “everyone was quite chilled” and it her companions who were laughing with and at her.
