Taylor Swift has now become the most awarded artist in the history of MTV VMAs with 33 awards under her belt.
The 36-year-old pop superstar surpassed Beyonce’s record of 30 awards, as she won three accolades at the show on Sunday, September 27.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker won Music Video of the Year award for The Fate of Ophelia, Best Direction for Opalite, and Artist Director Honors, which she became the first ever honouree to receive.
Swift has now won a total of six Video of the Year awards, which are as follows:
- 2015: Bad Blood
- 2019: You Need To Calm Down
- 2022: All Too Well: The Short Film
- 2023: Anti-Hero
- 2024: Fortnight
- 2026: The Fate of Ophelia
Swifties flocked to social media and celebrated the occasion, writing, “Well deserved,” and “the QUEEEN.”
A third chimed in, “thats legacy!!!,” and “2027 she will win for Patient Zero,” claimed another fan.
