Prince William and Princess Catherine have been preparing their two children for their destined positions in the royal family but there is a major change in the works as the monarchy is set to evolve under a new rule.
Prince George, who marked his 13th birthday last month, has officially begun his training as the future monarch, but the roles for Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are debatable.
Previously, reports revealed that William intends to give his children the freedom to choose their path, but if they decide to not be working royals, they would have to follow the same restrictions as non-working members.
According to royal biographer, Simon Vigar, Charlotte and Louis would be expected to play an important role in the future as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could also be added to the mix somehow, especially after the reunion with King Charles last month.
The expert pointed out that there has be a better way where they create a middle ground between royal duties and having a private life.
“The Sussexes clearly believed, or Harry believed, that there could be a third way,” he told Hello!. “At the Sandringham Summit, he was told by Elizabeth, Charles and William, ‘You’re either in or you’re out.’ At which point he said, ‘Okay, we’re out.’ He saw the door and he went for it.’”
He added that there has be “better way of doing this”.
“There must be a way that Charlotte and Louis can support their brother in the decades to come and still have their own lives,” he continued. “And I should think, I don’t know this for sure that Catherine and William are talking about it, but William keeps dropping these hints about change, doesn’t he?”
The expert pointed out that there is also a possibility that Archie and Lilibet could be using their royal titles in the future.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan have also hinted at what kind of relationship that they would want Archie and Lilibet to have with their cousins.
After some “distasteful remarks” from commentator Mark Dolan reached the Sussexes, they issued a statement referring to George, Charlotte, Louis as Archie and Lilibet’s cousins rather than their formal titles.
It indicates that the Sussexes want to have a deeper connection with the royals.
Dolan had said that Archie and Lilibet when they’re “teenagers and young adults”, would also “make life a misery for George, Charlotte, and Louis”.
The Sussexes slammed Dolan for “demonising” young children.
“To speculate that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will one day ‘make life a misery’ for their cousins is an extraordinary and irresponsible thing to say about children.”
