Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about his retirement plans, a week after he tied the knot with his partner Georgia Rodríguez in Cascais.
Ronaldo, who has netted 950 goals for club and country, has established himself as the G.O.A.T. of the game.
The 41-year-old participated in his six World Cup campaign this summer, the first player ever to do it.
Ronaldo in a recent interview with Vogue revealed that this season could be his last in his soccer career.
“This is probably my last year of football, and I want to leave a spectacular legacy,” the legendary Portuguese star said.
The statement has surprised his fans around the globe, who think he has time and energy to continue his career.
Ronaldo also discussed his future plans after he hung up his boots.
“I have so many things to keep me busy that to tell you just one thing is hard.
“Because football could leave a big hole, you have to fill your time in various ways, not just one,” added Ronaldo.
The interview also featured Ronaldo’s new found love of travel and padel away from the pitch.
The Portugal star appears to set his target locked to complete the milestone of 1,000 senior goals in the near future with Al-Nassr and the Portuguese national team.
