Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been ignored by their former close friends David and Victoria Beckham during UK visit.
The Sussexes, who are in Britain for an extended stay, have not received any words of support or encouragement from football icon David Beckham or former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, as the couples’ relationship has taken a surprising turn in recent years.
The bond between the Beckhams and the Sussexes is said to have deteriorated after Harry unexpectedly snubbed the footballer, according to a new book.
In 2023, their friendship fell apart when Harry and Meghan raised concerns that the Beckhams were leaking information about them to the press.
The claim allegedly left David “absolutely furious”.
In Brand Beckham, the author details how the rupture began as early as 2018, when the Beckhams travelled to Australia to support Harry at the Invictus Games.
The royal expert alleges that David was “astonished” when Harry did not attend a scheduled meeting between the pair, and that they never ended up seeing each other during the trip.
Surprisingly, Harry attended an Inter Miami football match in 2024, sparking hopes of a rekindling of their relationship.
Now, Harry and Meghan, along with their two children Archie and Lilibet, have returned to the UK after six years in the US.
However, they have not yet received any supportive or welcoming gesture from the couple, even after the King invited them to a royal residence during their earlier visit to the UK.
