Meghan Markle, who recently attended a charity event in Canada accompanied by Prince Harry, was allegedly snubbed by an A-list celebrity.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are often scrutinised for their small moves and a similar incident took place last week, when they were at the 40th anniversary gala of the David Foster Foundation.
A video clip went viral on social media, where it seemed that David ignored Meghan’s gesture to greet him on the red-carpet as they posed for a group photo.
Critics were quick to jump on the bandwagon to suggest that Meghan forced to be invited among other things. However, sources close to the situation explain that it wasn’t the case at all.
The perceived “snub” was simply a normal moment inflated on social media and Davis definitely “wanted” Harry and Meghan at his events.
“He’s always been a big fan of Diana and he’d never snub either of them,” the source told DailyMail, noting that they are long-time friends.
“It was a genuine moment where he didn’t see them and nobody really thought much of it. It’s nothing.”
Another source close to David revealed that he had already greeted them before the viral moment was captured. However, as the host, he had “a log going on at that moment” as he was also doing interviews.
However, he was “so excited to see Harry and Meghan” as he is “longtime friends” of the Sussexes. They both live in Montecito, which is another thing they have in common.
