David Harbour is getting ready to return as Santa but things are very different this time.
Universal has released the first trailer for Violent Night 2 and it shows that Christmas is about to get a lot more dangerous when the film will arrive in cinemas on December 4.
The new story picks up after the first movie but Santa is no longer the same as the trailer reveals that he has lost his magical powers after ending up on the naughty list.
Instead of flying around the world, he is now working a normal job at a shopping mall during the holiday season.
His quiet life does not last for long.
Before long, another group of criminals shows up and Santa is once again forced into a fight.
Even without his magic, he refuses to walk away as he uses whatever he can find around him to protect people and stop the bad guys.
Kristen Bell, however, joins the cast as Mrs Claus and will stand beside Harbour in the new adventure.
Jared Harris also appears as Mason, the film’s new villain, although the trailer keeps his real plans a secret.
One funny scene shows Santa telling children that Christmas may not happen this year because he somehow ended up on the naughty list.
