Harry Styles turned a rainy night in Mexico City into a memorable concert.
As rain poured over the packed stadium during the fourth night of his Together, Together residency at Estadio GNP Seguros on Friday, August 7, the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker acknowledged the weather with a grin.
“I’m not sure if anyone’s noticed but it’s raining,” he joked, before telling fans, “I have a feeling…it’s gonna make it quite special actually.”
The former One Directon star then led Happy Birthday for Zane Lowe during the rainy show.
Mid performance he revealed that his friend Zane Lowe was somewhere in the audience and asked the entire stadium to join him in singing the birthday song to the music broadcaster.
Another instance from the night had the X Factor alum playfully stumbled over his words while thanking the rain-soaked crowd for showing up, drawing laughs before correcting himself.
He later switched seamlessly between English and Spanish, telling the audience, “Sí, mi amor,” to cheers.
The weather did little to dampen the atmosphere as fans sang along to hits including As It Was, Watermelon Sugarand Kiwi, while the singer performed in a striking yellow patterned suit and shimmering red sequins.
From the unexpected rain to the birthday singalong, Styles seemed determined to turn the weather into part of the experience rather than let it spoil the show and the crowd happily played along.
