Hayley Williams made her political stance clear by publicly mocking Ed Sheeran after his vague statement following Macklemore’s exit from his Loop Tour.
The Paramore lead singer supported Macklemore by liking his post and re-sharing a Story taking a jab at the Shape of Youhitmaker.
The post read, “hey guys I saw all the atrocities that are happening and I want you to know that I’m keeping this discussion OPEN by saying NOTHING. I’m a role model to be followed (product) and it’s important that I don’t disappoint my young fans (investors and shareholders) by talking about politics. my shows are way bigger than politics – they’re a business.”
Soon after, in her own show, the Parachute songstress made bold political statements, showing solidarity for the Palestinian cause.
Fans flocked to social media and applauded Williams, writing, “been a hayley williams boy for over half my life and i’ve never regretted that.”
Another added, “Hayley Williams never misses.”
A third chimed in, “Love Hayley and Paramore – great to see her on the right side of history,” and “I’d love to see her & Macklemore put on a show/tour together,” wrote another.
