Jax Taylor has made one thing crystal clear: he’s off the market.
The Vanderpump Rules alum quietly confirmed his new relationship in the comments section of Instagram after a fan suggested he should become the next Bachelor.
“No thanks I am taken,” Taylor replied, adding a red heart emoji and putting weeks of speculation to rest.
The confirmation comes after reports linked Taylor to Lori Krebs, the longtime publicist who once represented his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. According to a source, the romance began well after Taylor and Cartwright separated.
“There was never a years-long secret affair, and there was no romantic relationship while Jax and Brittany were together,” the insider said.
“Their relationship changed only in the last several months, after both had already been separated.”
Not everyone is cheering the relationship.
Former castmate Kristen Doute didn’t hold back during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
“Jax is so diabolical,” she said. “Like, of course.”
She went on to criticize Krebs’ close relationship with Cartwright, adding, “This is Brittany’s trusted paid professional, a friend, basically part of her family for the past decade. It’s so totally deceitful. It’s her publicist. The one person who knows the ins and outs of everything.”
Cartwright has yet to fully address the romance but hinted fans won’t have to wait long.
“All I’m going to say about this at this moment is I will be speaking my truth—the truth—on this matter very soon whenever I’m ready,” she said, adding that her focus remains on “my beautiful son.”
