Katie Price and Kerry Katona’s children have shared their true feelings about how their parents’ fame impacted their career.
Junior Andre,21 and Princess, 19 grew up in the spotlight as the children of Katie Price and her ex husband, Peter Andre.
Meanwhile, Heidi Katona,19, was raised during the height of Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona’s fame and her relationship with her ex- husband, Mark Croft.
During Princess’s how, Princess Diaries, the trio opened up about their struggles with fame and the sense of isolation they often felt from their friends.
Junior explained: “There’s not many kids like us though.”
Heidi added: “Do you ever feel a bit isolated? Like really different to your friends, like if your friends were asking what you’re doing at the weekend and you drop something like oh they’re shutting down Peppa Pig world for me and your friends are like huh?
Princess admitted although they were fortunate to experience extraordinary opportunities, growing up in the spotlight was not always easy.
“We’re very lucky and we’ve experienced so many amazing things, like we used to go to Universal Orlando quite a lot. I was like oh my god we’ve got these places to ourselves. We thought it was the norm,” she said.
“It was a little bit difficult growing up because I couldn’t be spontaneous and I couldn’t do things that I fully wanted to do because social media and press can turn things to be different than how it is.”
Speaking about how challenging her childhood was, Princess said she now feels she has better “control” over how she approaches fame.
She said: “It was the fear of not wanting to risk anything. Then you get older and you start to realise it is my life and you take control like that.”
Junior and his girlfriend, Jasmine joined Princess and her friend Heidi during a trip to Monaco for Princess Diaries.
