With grace and resolve, the British monarch has reached out to his estranged son Prince Harry time and again.
By choosing forgiveness over grudges and letting bygones be bygones, King Charles is quietly working to heal the Duke of Sussex’s heart with wisdom, patience and a father’s love so that he may return home to begin a new chapter of his life with his extended family.
The 77-year-old has also encouraged William and Kate to separate their personal feelings from what he believes is best for the future of the monarchy.
Queen Camilla has also set her differences aside to support King Charles, backing his efforts to mend fences between the two princes.
But reconciliation will only come if both brothers show respect and willingness to acknowledge past mistakes and agree to move on.
A source close to the Palace has claimed, “King Charles believes that healing begins with unity.”
“As a father, his only wish is for his sons to choose respect over resentment and to rebuild what time and pain have broken,” they claimed.
William has allegedly lost faith in Harry’s return. Royal commentators and historians also agree that reconciliation is impossible unless the Sussexes acknowledge the damage they’ve caused.
Both brothers remain fiercely protective of their wives, even as they blame each other for the rift. Before teh Sussexes left for America, things between the two couples appeared amicable, with them once being dubbed ‘The Fab Four’.
Even the two royal wioves attended Wimbledon together in 2018 and 2019, and Harry wrote that the Princess of Wales was ‘the sister I’d never had and always wanted’, describing her as ‘carefree, sweet [and] kind’.
The duke has also been vocal about restoring the relationship with his family as he belives “There’s no point in continuing to fight any more.”
However, the 77-year-old monarch’s wisdom and love may help them inch closer in near future as head of state he still believes reconciliation is possible.
He worries about the image of a permanently divided royal family, and believes future generations should have the opportunity to know one another. Charles doesn’t see Archie and Lilibet as outsiders.
