King Charles shows no signs of slowing down while undegoing his cancer treatment as he continues to voice concern for future generations amid the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on humanity.
The 77-year-old monarch is increasingly concerned about the future generation as he is set to host leaders from Nvidia, Anthropic, Google DeepMind and OpenAI in Scotland for talks about the opportunities and responsibilities created by rapidly developing AI.
The King is well aware of it’s increasing use and development. He won’t shy attending the gathering to discuss how technological advances benefit people and communities.
The meeting could help encourage disccussion to examine whether common principles could guide the industry’s development.
The British monarch is really very concerned amid fears that what sort of technological world today’s leaders are creating for the generations who will have to live with decisions being taken now.
The debate about AI was thrust back into the spotlight when two Anthropic researchers issued warnings that the rapidly progressing technology could lead to the extinction of the human race in the not-too-distant future.
The chief executive of Anthropic, Dario Amodei, said on Saturday that companies must slow the pace of advance of AI models.
The King is really “haunted by how AI could define future generations in the monarchy.”

“He isn’t approaching this from the position that AI is inherently dangerous or should be stopped. There are enormous potential benefits. His concern is whether the people developing it are thinking sufficiently far ahead about responsibility, communities and future generations,” they added.
