Even though King Charles has opened the gates of Palace for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, not many are happy about the possible reconciliation that is taking place.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have not yet shown any interest in meeting the Sussexes and sources have shared that the couple have no plans in the near future to engage. However, they will not interfere with the monarch’s reunion.
Charles finally met his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after four years during a meeting at Highgrove House earlier this month.
Many royal experts and commentators have warned that this meeting could become a problem for the Firm, especially the future King and Queen.
“I think that my concern is that Charles is enabling Harry to establish a rival court in a complete defiance of what his mother, in her wisdom, laid down,” Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes expressed during The Royalist podcast.
Presenter Mark Dolan agreed, noting that Charles is “tearing up his agreement with the late Queen” and Prince Harry is “betraying” his grandmother, whom he claimed to love and admire.
The Sussexes had agreed that there will be no “half-in and half-out” settlement for royal duties when they were leaving their senior royal position.
He added that Harry and Meghan will “make life a misery for King William and Queen Catherine” and it will continue onto the next generation.
Prince William and Prince Harry are still estranged since 2022 and have not spoken a work to each other, despite being under the same roof two years ago for the funeral of their uncle Robert Fellowes.
Dolan stressed that in order to make monarchy “a lean, mean, fighting machine”, Charles must “scale back the whole royal operation.”
