King Charles has held a private telephone audience with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, in a meeting quietly recorded in the Court Circular.
The King spoke with Mr Carney by phone on Tuesday evening, according to the official royal record, which listed the conversation among Charles’s engagements for 9 September.
The brief entry offers no details about what was discussed, but the call comes just months after the King welcomed Canada’s Prime Minister to Buckingham Palace.
Charles and Carney last met in person on 16 March, when the Canadian leader was received by the monarch.
Their meeting came after Carney had held talks with then-British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
