Lucy Davis has shared that she wants to make the most of the present, weeks after revealing her cancer diagnosis.
The actress, known for playing Dawn Tinsley in The Office, 53, announced last month that she’s been diagnosed with incurable stage four breast cancer and ‘doesn’t know how long she has left.’
But she has told fans that she is determined to ‘live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can.’
On Wednesday she posted her latest adventure, a trek through Skull Canyon in California’s Temescal Valley before an exhilarating zip line 200ft in the air.
Lucy, whose cancer has metastasised to her bones which leaves her sometimes unable to stand and walk for long periods, told fans she was proud of herself for completing the physical challenge.
‘I loved this zipline – @skullcanyonziplines – and I was a bit proud of myself for doing it bc they said to be prepared for a 25 minute walk, so I took my pain meds an hour before in preparation,’ she explained.
In previous zip lines, I’ve always been driven up to the first line, and the walking is in between the lines. But no. This was a legit hike up to the first zip. It took me one hour and 15 minutes.’
‘I was so grateful for the support of the guides and my friend @jharris1231 who helped me up, and the other people on the hike that never judged me or made me feel stupid. Thanku.’
She added the hashtags ‘#gratefulforepsomsalts’ and ‘#dontletcancerruinyourday.’
Fans rushed to the comments section, calling Lucy ‘an inspiration.’
