Meghan Markle seemed to have made a subtle dig at the ongoing discourse on Martha Stewart claims about the Highgrove meeting.
The Duchess of Sussex, along with her two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, met with King Charles in-person after four years. While Prince Harry had already met his father a twice before, the family meeting seemed to be a major step in reconciliation.
However, one key condition of the meeting was understood to be to keep everything confidential. Even the Buckingham Palace statement did not go beyond acknowledging that the meeting had taken place at Highgrove.
Meanwhile, Martha Stewart claimed in her People Magazine interview that Meghan had been talking about it at a recent dinner that they both had attended. Martha denied anything was said to her directly but stressed that she “knew” Meghan was talking about it.
Sources close to Meghan have dismissed the notion but one journalist, Megyn Kelly, insisted that Martha has no reason to make this up and that she is “sharp as a tack” so it’s hardly ever that she misses a detail.
The As Ever founder seemed to have doubled down on that stance with a message for her critics and trolls.
The post shows a relaxing setup for a bath. “An evening well spent begins with a familiar scent,” her latest post read, then adding an invite to explore her “candle collection”.
It’s clear that Meghan has no interest in entertaining the hate train this time around as she ignores the critics. This aligns with her latest approach following big wins that have boosted her confidence.
She had her first Emmy nomination under her belt and has been thriving in the many projects that she has been working on.
