Meghan Markle rang in her 45th birthday on Tuesday at her Montecito mansion with Prince Harry and their two children.
Even though it was a milestone celebration for the Sussex household, the Duchess of Sussex kept it simple and cosy for the intimate party at home.
In a video update shared onto her Instagram Story, Meghan was seen dressed in her pyjamas with her shirt emblazoned with: “It’s Giving Mrs”.
She was in her kitchen as the food was cooking in the back. Harry was also in the kitchen while listening to the “Happy Birthday” song. The couple were sharing laughs as they tried to put party hats on their two dogs, who were adamant to chew them off rather than wear them.
Prince Harry can be heard reacting with “oh dear” at the antics unfolding before him.
The update came after it was announced that Princess Eugenie had given birth to a baby girl in Lisbon, Portugal, just a day prior.
It is understood that Meghan and Harry are also delighted to hear the news as reports claim they met with Princess Eugenie just weeks prior.
The Sussexes had been on a summer holiday in Europe and many eagle-eyed social media users pinpointed that the family had visited Portugal before their meeting with King Charles at Highgrove House last month.
Eugenie reportedly is still in contact with her cousin Prince Harry, who had offered her sympathy during a tough time. Moreover, Harry also wants his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to have some connection with their cousins like he did.
Nothing has been confirmed officially on the matter, but the clues fit together in the puzzle.
