Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, has sparked fresh discussion after visitors reported noticeable changes to its pop-up display inside a popular Montecito bookshop.
The boutique installation at Godmothers, located close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s California home, was originally unveiled as an eye-catching selection of As Ever products, including candles, teas, honey, edible flower sprinkles, wine and Meghan’s signature fruit preserves.
According to a recent visitor, however, the display now occupies a much smaller space than it did when it first launched.
Sharing the experience on social media, the shopper claimed the large wall display previously dedicated to the brand had disappeared, replaced by a single table displaying a more limited selection of merchandise.
Among the products reportedly still available were candles, a honey gift set, tins of edible flower sprinkles and chocolates created in collaboration with luxury Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés.
Curious about the change, the shopper asked staff, who reportedly explained that merchandise inside the store is refreshed on a regular basis.
Employees also indicated that the smaller display was not necessarily linked to products selling out.
Godmothers has become a well-known destination in Montecito, attracting celebrity visitors and local residents alike.
The independent bookshop is owned by Jennifer Rudolph Walsh and Victoria Jackson, both prominent figures within the community and longtime acquaintances of the Sussexes.
Meghan attended the store’s opening in 2024 and personally arranged the original As Ever display, even sharing behind-the-scenes footage showing herself styling the collection across a dedicated upstairs space.
The reported changes come just months after a source familiar with the business told Newsweek that As Ever was expected to expand significantly during 2026.
