King Charles III and the royal family issued special greetings to mark “Shana Tova” on Saturday.
Buckingham Palace shared public holiday message via official social media channels to mark the Jewish New Year.
Reacting to the post, some followers admired the monarch’s move while making emotional pleas, with one writing in the comments section: “Thank you ! Please protect our community.”
Shana Tova is the New Year in Judaism. Shanah Tovah Umetukah, meaning “[have a] Good and Sweet Year”, is used.
While, few others also called the move so special, praising the King for setting an example for all.
The 77-year-old often grabs headlines for his interfaith engagements or the traditions he follows as the British monarch.
