Prince Harry reached out to his father, King Charles, with an emotional request as a major event in his life approaches.
The Duke of Sussex is gearing up for the Invictus Games Birmingham edition, set to begin in 2027. In order to promote his passion project, the former working royal travelled to the UK in July to take part in “One Year to Go” countdown events.
During the same trip, he and his family were hosted by the monarch at Highgrove. A much-awaited reunion between Charles and his grandkids, Archie and Lilibet, took place.
Now, there are reports that Harry is quite hopeful that his father will also join him at next summer’s Invictus Games.
The King must be invited to be part of the opening or closing ceremony of the huge sports event, an olive branch from his son’s side as the two move forward towards reconciliation.
As per the Mirror, Harry has already planned his next meetings with his cancer-stricken father so he can spend time with Archie and Lilibet.
“Next year is a big deal for Harry. He is determined the Birmingham Games will be the best ever.
“It would mean the world to him to have his father there,” said the source.
