Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a firm resolve over being private citizens without the financial assistance of King Charles.
However, the Sussexes may have bit of more than they could chew with the urgent decision for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The children have already started school and there is also the matter of police protection hanging in balance.
It is up for debate whether the Sussexes could have arranged things more smoothly if they had more time, meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are staying at a friend’s property, according to a source cited by DailyMail’s Alison Boshoff.
Despite reports of the couple having a Cotswold home, Boshoff stated that every local estate agent and landowner is agog over the question of where they are staying now, and or where they might buy.
“They are staying in a property on the estate of a friend,” Harry’s friend said. “But the truth is Harry feels they are highly unlikely to find somewhere that is just ready to move into.”
They continued, “He thinks it may be 12 to 18 months before they’re into a new place, and that’s if you are thinking about completing at the end of this year or early next year. So, it could be even further away than that.”
Rumours are rife about Meghan not wanting to be in the UK and would be splitting time between UK and the US for work purposes. However, the friend insisted that Meghan is “100 per cent all-in” with the move.
Moreover, the house-hunting would be a good project that Meghan would like to be occupied with. The house is expected to be “historic” which is why renovations are anticipated to be more complicated and time-consuming. And they would also need a “£8million-plus budget” which they do have.
“They have engaged a number of agents who have been looking for them for the past month or so. Everyone is speculating like mad on which places they like or don’t like, or might buy,” the source added.
“The kind of property they are looking for with the amount of land doesn’t come up every week, so they know it might be a long search for the right place.”
