Prince William has once again emerged as Britain’s most popular member of the Royal Family, according to the latest YouGov poll, narrowly holding on to the top spot ahead of the Princess of Wales.
The Prince of Wales received a positive rating from 76 per cent of those surveyed, with Princess Kate just two points behind on 74 per cent.
While William continues to lead, Kate remains one of the country’s most admired royals, with fewer people expressing a negative opinion of her than of her husband.
Only 13 per cent of respondents viewed the Princess of Wales unfavourably, compared with 16 per cent for William which shows the enduring affection the public continues to have for the future Queen.
William first moved ahead of Kate in the popularity rankings in August 2025, ending a long period during which she had regularly been named Britain’s favourite royal.
Although she has yet to reclaim the top position, the couple remain comfortably ahead of every other working member of the Royal Family.
Known for their competitiveness during public engagements, William and Kate have often joked with one another while taking part in sporting events and royal visits.
The survey also delivered encouraging news for King Charles, whose approval ratings have reached their highest level since he became monarch.
Around 68 per cent of those questioned said they believe the King is doing a good job, suggesting public confidence in his reign continues to grow.
Prince Harry also saw a modest improvement in his standing. While the Duke of Sussex remains a divisive figure, his favourability rating increased to 33 per cent, up from 27 per cent a year ago.
