Prince William and Princess Kate stepped out to highlight the power of sport, putting a brave face on their joint outing amid Palace tensions.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were photographed at Headingley Rugby Stadium on Tuesday, September 28, where they learned about the incredible work of Leeds Rhinos and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
With the power of sport, they are working for the betterment of health, education, inclusion and well-being in the community.

A few photos were posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram from the royal couple’s visit alongside a statement.
William and Kate’s message reads, “Changing lives through the power of sport.
“Meeting young players, coaches and community leaders behind the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Rugby League Development Plan.
“From supporting the next generation of talent and strengthening pathways into the game, to expanding opportunities for women and girls, it’s inspiring to see how Rugby League is helping more people across Leeds build confidence, develop skills and fulfil their potential.
“With the 2026 Rugby League World Cup kicking off next month, it’s encouraging to see the positive impact the sport continues to have in communities across the country.”
Not only that, the future King and Queen surprised Sir Kevin Sinfield at the end of his third ultramarathon to raise fund for MND research in memory of former teammate Rob Burrow.
