The Prince and Princess of Wales may not be keen on the return of Harry and Meghan but King Charles ‘welcomes’ the prospect of having his family close.
Princess Catherine has been long associated with playing the role of a peacemaker in the royal family, especially when it comes to Prince William and Prince Harry.
Previous reports had indicated the Princess of Wales had given up on easing the anger between the estranged brothers as she was left “disappointed” by Harry’s comments on King Charles’s cancer battle.
Harry expressed in 2025, that he didn’t know how long his father has got left, which Kate did not appreciate. However, things are set to undergo a drastic change in the royal family dynamic and Kate may have to assume her once abandoned role for the sake of peace.
As the return of the Sussexes becomes imminent, former royal butler Grant Harrold shared that Kate will have a major role in restoring communication.
“I think Catherine would also be concerned about the situation,” Grant told The Independent, noting that she won’t be jumping around with joy with the news.
“I think she’s a very diplomatic lady. I think what she’ll be doing is trying to be peacemaker and trying to look at the positives of the situation,” he continued. “I’m guessing [she’ll] reassure William in the whole situation.”
He explained “believe it or not” that it always starts with Christmases and birthdays, if cards and messages are exchanged “between the ladies”.
Grant stressed that Kate is “very gracious” and “not malicious” so she will do everything to “rise above it” as the royals are very good at that.
“If there is any communication, she’ll be behind it,” he surmised.
