Donning an olive green Dôen Nelida dress with ruffles and a crimson floral embellishment at the shoulder, the 14-time Grammy winner attended the Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift: A 20-Year Retrospective, presented by the Recording Academy’s Songwriters & Composers Wing.
Held at the Grammy Museum, Los Angeles, specifically the Clive Davis Theater, the session was recorded on August 18 and released publicly on August 24.
It featured a conversation with Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., followed by an acoustic performance.
The Blank Space hitmaker delivered a live rendition of an emotional mashup, consisting of August, All Too Well(10 Minute Version) and I Knew It, I Knew You.
Interestingly, the 36-year-old pop star reworked the songs to end on a more hopeful, romantic note, which fans may interpret as a subtle nod to her newlywed life with Kelce.
The three songs also represented different stages of her artistic journey, from heartbreak and nostalgia to imagination and love.
The event also focused on the Reputationsinger’s songwriting. She discussed how creating fictional characters for folklore helped prepare her to write for Toy Story 5, where she wrote from the perspective of beloved character Jessie.
Swift’s debut post-wedding performance comes with a nostalgic yet hopeful note with a mashup of songs spanning her career.
